What are you grateful for?

Every night for months I would get out my journal and write at least one thing from the day that I was grateful for. I have been missing a few days but tonight I am planning on writing a very large list. You see, my attitude often needs some work and when I mull the "bad" parts of day over and over in my mind it only gets worse.






It is good that our country sets aside a day every year to be grateful, to enjoy the blessings the Lord has given us and to remember all of the "good" things in our lives. Make sure that you spend some time being grateful everyday. It is likely to give you a new outlook on life...

In one week I will be going on a trip with my sister. It is a very exciting vacation and an awesome opportunity for the two of us to go. Any guesses as to where we are off to? The above picture should give you the clue that we will be flying...

God's Will

I recently heard someone say that

"God's will is what we would choose if we knew what He knows"

That is a very interesting quote when you think about it. I still wonder, however, how we are to "know what He knows"? How are we to determine the will of God for our lives? There have been countless sermons on this very topic but when it comes right down to it...?

Each of us will likely be facing important decisions very soon. Thats just how it works. All of our decisions, every single one, will likely affect the lives of us and others. Put like that it makes me want to use extreme caution when trying to determine what to do and where to go next in my life.
Please pray for me as I face decisions. Pray that I will seek the Lord and be able to see clearly what he would have me to do.

Josh got a deer!!!

As some of you know Thursday was opening day of firearm deer hunting season. Some places that is a holiday! :) This year my brothers, Josh and Zech took a hunter safety course and got their hunting licences. They hunted Thursday out at Grandma Christy's with no luck and then again on Friday. Obviously Friday was a bit different. Josh got a deer!!! We are so happy for him.

Josh and Zech were sitting back to back. Zech says that he was just sitting there in the quiet of the morning and BOOM! Anyway we took the doe to a processer who wieghed it in at 110 lbs. We shall see, maybe this week Zech will get a buck...

I'm Back

I had a marvelous week. I hope everyone else did as well.

While I was away I attended revival meetings at Riverview Mennonite Church in White Pigeon. On the last night the speaker gave a definition of rebellion that shook me up a bit. He said the "rebellion is defiance and/or disobedience to established authority". Established authority-who/what is established authority? When I think of it, there are many different authorities in my life that I do not respect and obey. I need to focus on that a bit...how about you?

I haven't uploaded my pictures to my computer yet but when I do I shall post some.

Gone for...?...a week?

I am going to visit some very dear friends of mine this week. I am so excited!!! I'll post again when I get back. Maybe Thursday? (My plans are obviously not very definite)
