For the past several years I have been blessed every spring to have an opportunity for close ups of a baby bird with my wide angle lens. This morning Suzanne ran and got me because this little guy was hopping around the yard. Yay! Playing with manual was tricky but I got some nice shots on aperture priority. :) The light was harsh so Suzanne actually stood so that her shadow fell over him giving me some nice shade. A big thanks to the assistant of the day!I am disappointed with what I did not get to today. I realize that most of it comes from having unrealistic expectations. I just can't seem to figure out the appropriate time to lower my expectations...I have trouble knowing what is actually feasible.
Party time tomorrow! Preparations have continued all day, we have all been working like crazy to make this a welcoming place. I am so excited about getting to see so many friends.
